Implementation Cooperation Agreement for the Project „Public Finance Reform“ signed
On Tuesday 28th May 2015 the Implementation Cooperation Agreement for the Project „Public Finance Reform“ has been signed between the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the federal enterprise of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia. Signing of this Agreement represents continuation of successful cooperation between the two states which started in early 2002.
The objective of specific field of cooperation is the reform of public finance management, capacity building of the Tax Administration, improvement of the budget process, as well as the development of an integrated system of financial control.
The current project supports Serbia’s reform agenda which foresees, in addition to fiscal consolidation, the establishment of principles of good governance in public finance system. The duration of the Project is two years, from January 2015 to December 2016.
