Exchange of experience between representatives of the Ministry of Finance with colleagues from Croatia

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, led by State Secretary Mr. Milovan Filimonović, visited Zagreb from 3rd to 5th June 2015, within the agreed study visit to the Budget Inspection of the Republic of Croatia, organized by the GIZ Project Reform of Public Finances.

The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience in the field of financial management and control, to present to the Serbian delegation the way of functioning of the Budget Inspection and the Central Unit for Harmonization, the bodies responsible for audit and control of the EU funds, as well as to collect good practice and advice, primarily those related to the process of running accession negotiations for the EU membership.

During the visit there were organized meetings with the Budget Inspectorate, representatives of the Department for Harmonization of Internal Audit and Financial Control, as well as with representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia in charge for auditing and control of the EU funds. Meeting between the ministries of finance of the two countries was very successful, which will represent the continuation of successful cooperation.
