The „Most-European man“ medallion for Minister Djelic
On the occasion of a ceremony organized in Belgrade City Hall, Belgrade European House awarded Minister Bozidar Djelic for the year 2002 in the field of economics. This ceremony, under the name „European night“, was jointly organized by the European House of Belgrade, the European Movement, the Cukarica borough and the City of Belgrade.
Presenting the Minister as the leading Serbian reformer, Mr. Desimir Tosic from the European Movement awarded the medallion to him. Addressing those present at the event, Minister Djelic designated the road towards the European Union as the road towards the brightest Serbia. This award granting is aimed to promote the European integration process as well as the approaching of our culture and tradition to the actual and future European Union member countries.
Mr. Dragoljub Micunovic, the President of the Council of Citizens of the Federal Parliament, was awarded the prize in the domain of politics, and Mr. Jovan Cirilov, eminent theatrologist, was the laureate in the domain of culture. This year for the first time a tribute was introduced for the contribution in the field of European entrepreneurship environment development, and Ms. Jelica Minic, Federal Foreign Minister Assistant, was awarded the prize.
