New finance minister appointed
The Serbian Parliament voted yesterday to appoint the new Government of the Republic of Serbia. Newly appointed Finance Minister is Mr. Mladjan Dinkic.
Mladjan Dinkic was born in Belgrade in 1964. He graduated (1988) and obtained his MA (1993) from the Belgrade University School of Economics. From 1990 to 1993 he worked at the School as trainee assistant lecturer, and since 1994 up to date as assistant lecturer, on “Theory and planning of economic development”. He was the founder and coordinator of G17 Plus Group from 1997 to 2001. From 2000 to 2003 he was the Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia and National Bank of Serbia, respectively. He attended specialist training abroad, where he also worked as lecturer – USIA programme (USA), Bergakademie Freiberg – Fakultat fur Wirtschafts – Wissenschaften (Germany), Limburgs Universitair Centrum, Faculteit Toegepaste Economische Wetenschappen (Belgium), International Centre for Economic Research (ICER) in Italy and Cornell University (USA). Married.
