Minister Djelic at the World Economic Forum in Davos
Invited by the World Economic Forum, Serbian Finance Minister – Bozidar Djelic, shall represent the Republic of Serbia at this prestigious forum, taking place in Davos (Switzerland) from January 21st to 25th.
Besides his participating to the plenary sessions, Minister Djelic shall also meet with Mr. Jean Lemiere – President of the European Bank for reconstruction and Development (EBRD),
Ms. Anne Kruger – first deputy to the Director General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mr. Jean-Philippe Courtois – Microsoft Corporation President for Europe, Africa and Asia, Mr. Jeremy Brooks from Transparency International – the organization for the fight against corruption, Mr. Michael Porter – Harvard University Professor, as well as with Mr. Bertrand Lacombe – President of the Lafarge Corporation.
Minister Djelic shell also meet with Mr.Thierry de Montbrial, the representative of the Institut Francais des Relations Internationals, Mr. Thomas J. Bata – Chairman, Bata Shoe Foundation, Mr. Evan Newmark, UBS AG, Mr. J. Adair Turner- Senior Adviser and Vice-Chairman, Merrill Lynch, as well as with Mr. Stefano Sannino, EC.
The World Economic Forum gathers the world financial leaders, the representatives from world governments, international organizations, union representatives, media and NGO’s. The world leaders discuss current international problems during these several days of Forum.
Serbia has been honored to participate again to the Forum. During the 2002. session, the World Economic Forum elected Mr. Bozidar Djelic among the 100 world leaders of the future.
