Consultative meeting on Public Procurement in Serbia
The Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Public Procurement Agency held today a consultative meeting entitled Public Procurement in Serbia – Results and Further Steps. This meeting provided an opportunity for a discussion on the necessity of the adopted Public Procurement Law, effects of its practical use so far, encountered problems and possible solutions.
Mr. Bozidar Djelic, Serbian Finance Minister, emphasized the importance of public procurement reforms in the process of conducting deep public finance reforms and announced further steps in this field.
Mr. Predrag Jovanovic, Public Procurement Agency Director, informed participants on the economy achieved so far, owing to the application of the Public Procurement Law.
The conference was organized owing to the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
